## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX04CA279](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX04CA279), Jul 24, 2004: Aviat A-1B (N268DM), Minden, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate compensation for the crosswind conditions and failure to maintain directional control. The misjudged landing flare and the crosswind were factors.

## Other reports on N268DM (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20030524010639I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20030524010639I), May 24, 2003: Aviat A1B (N268DM), Minden, NV, Minor damage. (-23) Aircraft stalled on turn from base to final while doing take-off and landings on a dry lake bed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
