## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON 07/24/04, A BOEING 747-400, OPERATED BY AIR INDIA, FLIGHT AI-145 FROM PARIS (CDG) TO NEWARK (KEWR), WAS ON THE FINAL APPROACH SEGMENT FOR ILS 4R AT EWR. AT APPROXIMATELY 2027Z, THE AIRCRAFT WAS ONE MILE FROM TOUCH DOWN WHEN FAA/ATC OBSERVED THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR WAS NOT DOWN. ATC IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE AIRCRAFT ON EWR TOWER FREQUENCY, REMINDING THE FLIGHT CREW TO EXTEND THEIR LANDING GEAR. THE CREW COMPLIED WITH ATC AND LANDED RWY 4R WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
