## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N34967, ENROUTE BETWEEN WINNEMUCCA AND ELKO, NV, ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURBULENCE WITH UPDRAFTS AND DOWNDRAFTS CAUSING 1000FT. VARIATIONS IN ALTITUDE. DURING THIS PERIOD A TEENAGE PASSENGER BECAME VERY AIR SICK. THE PILOT, MR. FRANCIS T. BRADY, WHILE DEALING WITH A SICK PASSENGER AND TURBULENCE, BECAME SOMEWHAT DISORIENTED AND WAS RUNNING LOW ON FUEL. MR. BRADY FOUND A RURAL ROAD, NEVADA STATE ROUTE 278, AND AFTER CLEARING THE ROAD FOR TRAFFIC, INITIATED A PRECAUTIONARY UNEVENTFUL LANDING 23 MILES SOUTH OF CARLIN, NV. FUEL WAS OBTAINED IN ELKO, NV AND THE AIRCRAFT RECOVERED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
