THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH ATC, AND THEN WAS ABLE TO GET THE ENGINE TO RUN SMOOTH AGAIN BY INCREASING THE MIXTURE. PILOT ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO JUNEAU, AK AS JUNEAU HAD BETTER WEATHER AND YAKUTAT'S ILS AND RUNWAY 11-29 WAS CLOSED. ALSO A FACTOR IN CHOOSING JUNEAU WAS THE AIRCRAFT'S ALTITUDE OF 23,000 FT. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
