## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. GREG SIEMANN WAS PRACTICING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 13 AT THE ARTHUR N. NEU AIRPORT, CARROLL, IOWA. MR. SIEMANN, AFTER THE FINAL LANDING, DID A 180 DEGREE TURN TO TAXI OFF THE RUNWAY. HE THEN INADVERTENTLY RAISED THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE THINKING IT WAS THE FLAP HANDLE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS STILL IN A RIGHT TURN, WHICH UNLOADED THE LANDING GEAR SQUAT SWITCH, ALLOWING THE GEAR TO PARTIALLY RE-TRACK. THE PILOT WAS NOT ALONE AND NOT INJURED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
