## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) CREW REPORTED AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH FUMES ON THE FLIGHT DECK. CREW REPORTED COMPLETING CHECK LIST ITEMS, WENT TO EMERGENCY POWER. SMELL WENT AWAY. THEN IT SEEMED TO COME BACK. CREW TURNED THE ELECTRICAL OFF. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND MADE A HIGH SPEED LANDING AT DUNCAN AIRPORT. GROUND PERSONNEL NOTED FIRE COMING FROM THE AIRCRAFT TIRES AFTER IT STOPPED. THEY USED HAND HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. THE FUSE PLUGS FAILED AND THE TIRES LOST THEIR AIR. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. MAINTENANCE BELIEVES A CURRENT SENSOR FAILED AT THIS TIME, WHICH CAUSED THE SMELL ON THE FLIGHT DECK. M OR D SUBMITTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
