## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN LANDED APPROXIMATELY HALFWAY DOWN A 2400 FOOT GRASS LANDING STRIP. THE AIRMAN STATED THE GRASS WAS WET AND THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT APPEAR TO BE SLOWING AFTER HE APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED A DITCH AT THE END OF THE STRIP AND FLIPPED ON IT'S BACK ONTO A COUNTY ROAD. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE, THE PILOT IN COMMAND REPORTED NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI04LA217](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI04LA217), Aug 6, 2004: Grumman G-164-B (N6677Q), Bradford, IL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's misjudgment of speed and distance, and his failure to perform a go-around. Additional factors were the wet runway and the ditch.

## Other reports on N6677Q (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19840522036539A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840522036539A), May 22, 1984: Scwzer G164B (N6677Q), Silver Creek, NE, Substantial damage. Vision restricted by sun glare. Flew into the side of a hill on pullup from a spray run.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
