## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS ON A LOCAL CHARTER FLIGHT TO A LAKE CABIN AND WAS ON LOW FINAL APPROACH TO LAND ON KILLARNEY LAKE WHEN THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A SMALL POWER/TELEPHONE LINE. THE LINE SPAN AT THAT POINT IS ABOUT 2000 FEET, IS UNMARKED AND IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE EVEN WHEN YOU ARE CLOSE TO IT AND LOOKING FOR IT. THE PILOT SAW THE LINE IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO IMPACT, ADDED FULL POWER AND PULLED UP. THE LINE PASSED BETWEEN THE PROP AND THE FLOATS IMPACTED THE STRUTS AND BROKE. THE AIRCRAFT DROPPED OUT OF THE AIR AND ONTO THE WATER FROM VERY LOW ALTITUDE. DAMAGE WAS VERY LIMITED, BUT SUBSTANTIAL BY DEFINITION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA04CA164](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA04CA164), Aug 13, 2004: Cessna U206G (N9752Z), Rose Lake, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance with the powerlines on final approach which resulted in a hard landing. A factor contributing the to accident were the powerlines.

## Other reports on N9752Z (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19940727036709I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19940727036709I), Jul 27, 1994: Cessna U206G (N9752Z), Coeur D Alene, ID. Narrative: N9752Z allegedly struck a swimmer during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
