## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY ^ STATED THAT AFTER RUNUP AND NORMAL SHORT TAXI TO END OF RUNWAY, HE APPLIED POWER AND ACCELERATED NORMALLY AND LIFTED OFF. SHORTLY AFTER LIFTOFF, THE POWER STARTED TO FADE, CAUSING THE PLANE TO SETTLE INTO THE TREES. THE HEADER FUEL TANK WAS APPROXIMATELY 3/4 FULL. AFTER EXAMINING THE FUEL SYSTEM AND THE FUELING RECORDS, WE CONCLUDED THAT FUEL STARVATION WAS NOT A PROBLEM. NO ACTION IS REQUIRED, FOR 3 WEEKS AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY ^ DIED. HIS WIFE STATED THAT THE ACCIDENT WAS NOT CAUSAL TO HIS DEATH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
