## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE MAKING AN APPROACH INTO 1V6 CANON CITY, CO, ABOUT 15 FEET FROM TOUCHDOWN, A STRONG GUST OF WIND CAME OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST AND BLEW THE AIRCRAFT OFF CENTERLINE WITH RIGHT WING HIGH. THE PILOT LEVELED THE AIRCRAFT, BUT HIS RPM WAS TOO SLOW FOR A GO-AROUND AND HE LANDED THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE RUNWAY AT 20 DEGREES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SLOWING WHEN IT STRUCK A BERM. THE AIRCRAFT'S PROP WAS DAMAGED WHEN IT ENCOUNTERED THE BERM OFF TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT JUMPED THE BERM AND DAMAGED THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND THE LANDING GEAR. AIRCRAFT CAME TO STOP AND THE PILOT EXITED AND WAS UNHARMED. ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIR MINUS PROP AND ENGINE $4,500 OF THE TOTAL COST OF THE AIRCRAFT $275,000.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
