## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2004 MR. DON VAUGHN PILOT OF ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT LANDED AT JACK EDWARDS AIRPORT WHEN THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE PILOT STATED THAT PRIOR TO LANDING THE GEAR DOWN AND LOCK INDICATION WAS IN THE GREEN. AT APPROXIMATELY 3500 FEET THE RIGHT WING BEGAN TO DRAG ON THE RUNWAY WHEN DURING THE LAST 100 FEET THE WING DEPARTED THE PAVED SURFACE AND CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS. UPON RECOVERING THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT GEAR INDICATION WAS DOWN AND LOCKED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
