## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) IN A TELEPHONE INTERVIEW, THE PILOT STATED THAT ON APPROACH FOR LANDING AT OCEANSIDE, CA (L32), HE NOTICED AN AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY AND EXECUTED A GO-AROUND. HE THEN DISCOVERED THAT HE WAS AT THE CARLSBAD AIRPORT (CRQ) AND NOT OCEANSIDE. HE WAS ADVISED BY THE TOWER AT CARLSBAD THAT THE OCEANSIDE AIRPORT WAS 4 MILES NORTH. HE PUT THE LANDING GEAR UP AND PROCEEDED TO THE OCEANSIDE AIRPORT. ON APPROACH FOR LANDING AT THAT AIRPORT, HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND LANDED GEAR UP WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
