## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (INSTRUCTOR) AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (COMMERCIAL STUDENT) WERE DOING A SOFT FIELD LANDING TO A FULL STOP. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT, THEY SET UP FOR THE APPROACH, ON FINAL TO RUNWAY 28 THEY CONFIGURED THE AIRCRAFT FOR A SHORT FIELD LANDING. HE SAID, THAT THE AIRCRAFT ATTITUDE AND POWER SETTINGS ALL SEEMED NORMAL FOR A GEAR DOWN FULL FLAP 70 KNOT APPROACH. THEY FLARED, CARRIED SOME POWER FOR ALTITUDE CONTROL. THE POWER WAS REDUCED AND THEY SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY WITH NO GEAR EXTENDED AT THAT POINT. THEY SKIDDED STRAIGHT DOWN THE RUNWAY FOR A SHORT TIME. THEN THE AIRPLANE SKIDDED OFF TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY FACING TO THE LEFT AT ABOUT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED, THAT THEY SHUT OFF THE FUEL, THEY TURNED OFF THE MASTER AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. HE ALSO NOTED THAT, NOTHING WAS LEAKING SO HE LOOKED IN THE COCKPIT TO SEE WHAT POSITION THE GEAR LEVER WAS IN, AND IT WAS IN THE GEAR DOWN POSITION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
