## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2004 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:00 NOON, LT. (USAF) MARK R. HENRY WAS TO PERFORM HIS FIRST SOLO FLIGHT. ON THE FIRST SOLO LANDING, LT. HENRY LANDED N2347W HARD ON RUNWAY 35 AT NEW BRAUNFELS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (BAZ), TEXAS. ON THE THIRD "BOUNCE" OF THE FIRST LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE RUNWAY NOSE LOW BREAKING THE NOSE GEAR OFF AND DAMAGING THE PROPELLER. OTHER THAN THE NOSE WHEEL BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND A BENT PROP THE OVERALL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO BE MINOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
