## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) A DHL DELIVERY VAN DROVE AROUND THE RIGHT WING TIP OF THE DHL 727-200 TOWARDS THE AFT CARGO DOOR. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOSTLY LOADED WITH THE FLIGHT CREW ON BOARD. THE VAN FIRST DROVE INTO THE LOADING AREA BEHIND THE WING NOSE FIRST, THEN CONTINUED IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION TOWARDS THE RIGHT WINGTIP, THUS POSITIONING ITSELF TO BACK UP TO THE AFT CARGO DOOR. THE TOP FRONT OF THE DELIVERY TRUCK STRUCK THE RIGHT AILERON OF THE 727. THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT, WHICH APPEARED LIMITED TO THE AILERON, AND LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
