## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) "INDUSTRIAL INCIDENT-NO INTENT TO FLY" PILOT WAS TAXIING AIRCRAFT HAD HAD RECENTLY PURCHASED TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH IT AND HAD NO INTENTION OF FLIGHT BEFORE RECEIVING INSTRUCTION FROM A COMPETENT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR. DURING TAXI PRACTICE WHILE GOING DOWN WIND, PILOT ATTEMPTED RIGHT TURN AND WIND CAUGHT TAIL AND TAIL CAME RAPIDLY TO THE LEFT AND PILOT COULD NOT STOP THE RESULTING GROUND LOOP. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED WHILE TAXIING ON RUNWAY 21 AT MENOMINEE, MI.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
