## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, THE STUDENT PILOT AND HIS INSTRUCTOR CONDUCTED SEVERAL TOUCH-AND-GO'S. THE STUDENT WAS THEN RELEASED TO CONTINUE TRAFFIC PATTERN OPERATIONS SOLO (HIS 3RD SUPERVISED SOLO). AFTER THE FOURTH LANDING THE STUDENT REPORTED THAT, AFTER APPLYING FULL POWER FOR TAKE OFF, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT AND HE WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A TAXIWAY AND RUNWAY LIGHT, CONTINUED ACROSS A PARALLEL TAXIWAY, AND DOWN A SLOPING GRASSY AREA. DAMAGE TO N994PD WAS LIMITED TO BOTH MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUT FAIRINGS AND RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER LEADING EDGE. POST-INCIDENT INSPECTION REVEALED NO ABNORMALITIES WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM OR NOSE WHEEL STEERING. THIS INVESTIGATION,^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED, IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
