## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) LIGHT GUN CLEARANCE WAS USED FOR AIRCRAFT TO LAND. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO LAND, BUT AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT EACH TIME, WITH THE LEFT WING TIP EITHER CLOSE TO, OR STRIKING THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WOULD THEN GO AROUND AND TRY AGAIN. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT LANDED IT THEN VEERED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, HITTING A RUNWAY LIGHT, AND COMING TO REST APPROXIMATELY 75 YARDS OFF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
