## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT WHILE TAXIING, HE CAME UPON A SLOWER TAXIING AIRCRAFT THAT WAS NOT VISIBLE UNTIL TOO CLOSE. TO AVOID HITTING THE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT USED HEAVY BRAKING AND SKIDDED OFF THE TAXIWAY. PILOT CLAIMED THE OTHER AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS ON BUT THE INCIDENT REPORT SUBMITTED BY THE IND ATCT DID NOT MENTION THE INVOLVEMENT OF A SECOND AIRCRAFT. PILOT ADMITTED HE WAS TAXIING MUCH TOO FAST FOR THE CONDITIONS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
