## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS MAKING FIRST LANDING OF THE DAY AT LEHIGHTON (JAKE ARNER AIRPORT, (22N), ON RUNWAY 8. HIS APPROACH TO LANDING WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT ALL OTHER FACTORS WERE NORMAL INCLUDING AIRSPEED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR AND BOUNCED INTO THE AIR. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO PORPOISE ON THREE SUBSEQUENT ATTEMPTS TO LAND. ON THE FOURTH TOUCHDOWN THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY AND PARTIALLY COLLAPSED THE NOSE GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED STRAIGHT DOWN THE RUNWAY COMING TO A STOP. THE ENGINE MOUNT HAD THREE SUPPORT TUBES SHEARED, AND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS BENT BACK INTO THE FIREWALL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
