## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 31, 2004, AN AIRTRAN B-717, N927AT, REGISTERED TO WELLS FARGO BANK NW NA, TRUSTEE, AND OPERATED BY AIRTRAN AIRLINES, INGESTED A BIRD UPON TAKEOFF FROM ROC. INSTRUMENT METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE SPINNER ON THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS DAMAGED. THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO ROC. THE FLIGHT CREW WAS CURRENT AND QUALIFIED UNDER PART 121. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT NOR INJURIES TO CREW OR PASSENGERS OCCURRED. INJURY SUMMARY NOT KNOWN BY ASI.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
