## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 11/17/04 ATA AIRLINES, INC. (ATA) FLIGHT 7275, AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION NUMBER N525AT, A BOEING, B-757-23N AIRCRAFT PERFORMING A REPOSITION FLIGHT WITH 2 PILOTS ONBOARD, AFTER TAKEOFF FROM IND, LEFT ENGINE LIMITER LIGHT CAME ON. ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER THE LEFT EEC LIGHT CAME ON AND THE LEFT ENGINE GENERATOR DROPPED OFF LINE. OIL PRESSURE DROPPED TO 18 AND THE ENGINE WAS FAILING. FLIGHT CREW SHUT DOWN THE LEFT ENGINE AND RAN ALL CHECK LISTS. AT 1315Z, 10 MILES WEST OF IND ATA FLIGHT 7275 REPORTED ENGINE OUT. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO IND AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
