## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) UPON LANDING AT CNO RWY 26R, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED AN UNCOMMANDED YAW TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT APPLIED THE MLG BRAKES WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO YAW TO THE LEFT. THE FLAPS WERE RETRACTED FROM 30 DEGREES TO ZERO DEGREES IN ORDER TO INCREASE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL (AIRCRAFT WAS DESIGNED WITHOUT GEAR STEERING). ALSO, THE SPEED BRAKES WERE DEPLOYED TO SLOW THE LANDING ROLL. THE AIRCRAFT THEN EXPERIENCED ANOTHER UNCOMMANDED YAW TO THE RIGHT. THE SPEED BRAKES WERE RETRACTED AND THE AIRCRAFT YAWED AGAIN TO THE LEFT. THE SPEED BRAKES WERE AGAIN REDEPLOYED WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO YAW AGAIN TO THE RIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT CROSSED THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE AND CAME TO A STOP IN GRASS/MUD ON THE NORTH SIDE OF RWY 26R, SHORT OF TAXIWAY A. AN INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A BLOWN RIGHT TIRE. REPAIR INCLUDES REPLACING THE RIGHT TIRE AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
