## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 29, DURING ROLLOUT, OVER 1000 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT AND THE FRONT PASSENGER, WHO IS ALSO A PILOT, CONFIRMED THREE GREEN LIGHTS ON THE GEAR INDICATOR. THE FRONT PASSENGER FEATHERED BOTH PROPS AND SHUT DOWN BOTH ENGINES BEFORE THE PROPELLERS STRUCK THE GROUND. THE TOUCHDOWN WAS REPORTED AS NORMAL, AND GEAR OPERATION ON APPROACH APPEARED NORMAL. THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER JACKING UP THE LEFT WING. POST-INCIDENT INSPECTION OF THE LANDING GEAR WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON JACKS REVEALED THAT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR ACTUATOR ROD END, PART NUMBER 762365, WAS BENT. THE DOWN LOCK LATCH WOULD NOT LOCK INTO PLACE WITH THE BENT ROD END.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
