## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT DEPARTED RUNWAY 36 IN A LIGHT GUSTY CROSSWIND FROM THE NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 KNOTS. HE SAID HE DID NOT POSITION THE AILERONS PROPERLY FOR THE WIND AND THE WIND GOT UNDER THE LEFT WING. THE AIRPLANE WENT OFF THE RIGHT EDGE OF THE RUNWAY TILTING IT TO THE RIGHT, ALLOWING THE RIGHT WINGTIP TO STRIKE THE GROUND. THE NOSEGEAR FAILED, ALLOWING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND, BENDING BOTH BLADES. THIS INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
