## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) GREAT LAKES BEECH 1900-D, N179GL, WAS TOWED OUT OF THE HANGAR WITH A LEKTRO TUG BY ^PRIVACY DA^, A MECHANIC/FUELER, FOR REPOSITIONING TO THE TERMINAL RAMP FOR THE 10 O'CLOCK GREAT LAKES' MORNING FLIGHT DEPARTURE TO DENVER. THE RAMP CONDITIONS WERE SNOW COVERED, PACKED AND ICY IN SPOTS FROM THE SNOW STORM IN PROGRESS, WITH LIGHT WINGS. ^PRIVACY ^ WAS MANEUVERING THE BEECH AIRCRAFT BETWEEN THE KEY LIME METROLINER, N2691W, AND A PARKED FUEL TRUCK. WHEN HE REALIZED HE WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE METROLINER HE STOPPED THE TUG AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO BACK THE BEECH BUT BECAME STUCK WITH THE TUG. HE WAS GOING TO USE A BIGGER ALTERNATE TUG, BUT THE PILOTS ARRIVED AND ASKED HIM TO REFUEL (45 EACH WING OR 90 GALLONS TOTAL) AND THEY WOULD TAXI THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RAMP SINCE THEY NEEDED TO DO A RUN-UP BEFORE ENPLANING THE PASSENGERS. THE PILOTS STARTED THE ENGINES AND PROCEEDED TO TAXI WITH ^PRIVACY ^ AS THE SIGNAL MAN AND WING WALKER. ^PRIVACY ^ SIGNALED THEM TO STOP BUT THE BEECH'S WINGTIP ENCOUNTERED THE METROLINER LINER'S TAIL SECTION. VERY MINOR DAMAGE SUSTAINED BY BOTH AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
