## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) VFR FLIGHT FROM O63-PTV. PILOT REPORTED THE GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND PRIOR TO LANDING. HE FOLLOWED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PROCEDURE AND REPORTED THE GEAR LIGHT INDICATED DOWN AND LOCKED. UPON LANDING, GEAR REPORTEDLY COLLAPSED. ON 11-30-04 INSPECTORS FROM THE FRESNO FSDO TRAVELED TO PTV FOR ON-SCENE INVESTIGATION. THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN MOVED TO A HANGAR AND PLACED ON JACKS. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING GEAR PROCEDURE AND THE GEAR EXTENDED AND LOCKED DOWN. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL THEN PERFORMED NORMAL LANDING GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION AND THE GEAR OPERATED NORMALLY. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
