## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT DEPARTED SALINA, KS, AIRPORT (SLN). AFTER GEAR RETRACTION AND WHILE ON CLIMB-OUT, PILOT OBSERVED LOW AMPERAGE GAGE INDICATION, RADIO FLICKERING, AND WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT SLN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC). DUE TO ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE, PILOT WAS UNABLE TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR USING NORMAL AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES. PILOT RETURNED TO SLN, ROCKING WINGS AT THE TOWER AND MONITORING LOCAL TRAFFIC. SLN ATC ISSUED LANDING CLEARANCE AND A GREEN LIGHT TO AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 17 WITH LANDING GEAR RETRACTED, SLIDING APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET ON THE RUNWAY. PILOT COMPLETED EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN AND EGRESS. PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED. THERE WERE NO FLUIDS OR LIQUIDS OBSERVED. AIRPORT EMERGENCY VEHICLES WERE IMMEDIATELY AT THE SCENE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
