## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

JETT CARE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A BITE TEST OF THE FLAP ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (FECU), RESET THE SYSTEM, AND OPERATIONALLY CHECKED THE SYSTEM AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONFIGURED FOR A FERRY FLIGHT TO WASHINGTON DULLES (IAD) FOR FURTHER TROUBLESHOOTING. THE MECHANICS AT IAD COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE, HOWEVER, REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FECU AND AGAIN OPERATIONALLY CHECKED THE SYSTEM FOR TWO HOURS WITHOUT ANY INDICATED PROBLEMS. A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE LEFT/RIGHT WING FLAP ACTUATORS AND FLEX DRIVE SHAFTS FOR INDICATIONS OF MOISTURE, DAMAGE, EXCESSIVE GREASE WITH NO PROBLEMS BEING NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE CREW OR PASSENGERS. THE FLIGHT CREW'S ACTIONS OR LACK OF ACTIONS DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THIS INCIDENT. THIS CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION OF THIS OCCURRENCE AND NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED FROM THIS OFFICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
