## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN PERFORMING TOUCH AND GOES AT CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WITNESSES STATED AIRCRAFT FLEW OVER THE RUNWAY (18) AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND PULLED UP STEEPLY AT THE END. WHILE CLIMBING STEEPLY, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED A LEFT TURN AND THEN SPUN. WITNESS HEARD THE IMPACT AND WAS FIRST ON SCENE. AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST 2/10THS OF A MILE BEYOND THE END OF RUNWAY 18. AIRCRAFT WAS LARGELY INTACT AND LANDED IN A FLAT ATTITUDE WITH NO FORWARD MOVEMENT. THERE WERE INDICATIONS THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS ACTUALLY TRAVELLING AFT AT A SLIGHT RATE AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. ALL MAJOR COMPONENTS WERE PRESENT AND NO PRE-CRASH DISCREPANCIES WERE DISCOVERED THAT WOULD HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE CRASH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW05LA053](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW05LA053), Jan 10, 2005: Myers Kit Fox Series VI (N982KF), Cleveland, OK, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain control and sufficient airspeed while performing an abrupt pull-up manuever after takeoff, which resulted in an inadvertent stall/spin.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
