## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO SLIDE ON ICE, AND IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP BEFORE REACHING THE END OF THE RUNWAY, THE PILOT STEERED THE AIRCRAFT INTO TALLER GRASS, AND WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS LOOSE SNOW ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE LANDING AREA. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED AN EARTH BERM BENEATH THE SNOW, AND OVERTURNED. PRIOR TO LANDING, THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND STATED THAT HE COMPLETED AN OVERFLIGHT INSPECTION OF THE LANDING AREA, AND DETERMINED THAT A SAFE LANDING COULD BE MADE. AERIAL PHOTOS TAKEN WITHIN HOURS OF THE ACCIDENT SUPPORT HIS DECISIONMAKING.
