## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT HAD TO RETURN TO FALCON FIELD (FFZ) BECAUSE OF AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE TOWER BUT COULD RECEIVE. THE TOWER USED LIGHT GUN SIGNALS TO COMMUNICATE. THE TOWER STATED THAT THE GEAR DID NOT LOOK COMPLETELY DOWN AND USED THE RED GUN FOR THE PILOT TO GO-AROUND. THE PILOT PROCEEDED TO LAND ON RWY 4R. UPON TOUCH DOWN THE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE RUNWAY. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WERE ABLE TO JACK THE AIRCRAFT UP AND PUMP THE GEAR DOWN FOR TOWING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX05LA065](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX05LA065), Jan 14, 2005: Cessna T210M (N761YH), Mesa, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to use the emergency gear extension procedure to manually extend the landing gear to the down and locked position.
