## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) FLIGHT CREW OF N911AE ATTEMPTED A LANDING ON RUNWAY 19 @KMKC (7,002 FEET) AFTER CALCULATING A LANDING DISTANCE REQUIREMENT OF 5,400 FEET (A MULTIPLIER OF 2 WAS USED). CREW REPORTED TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKING EFFECTIVENESS WITH 1,500 FEET REMAINING. ACFT ROLLED OFF OF THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND THROUGH THE SOFT GRAVEL OVERRUN BEFORE IMPACTING THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA ARRAY. THE ACFT THEN IMPACTED A CHAIN LINK FENCE, DRAGGING APPROXIMATELY 180 FEET OF FENCE ACROSS A PERIMETER ROAD, OVER A GUARD RAIL, AND HALF-WAY UP A RIVER LEVEE EMBANKMENT BEFORE COMING TO REST. THE CREW THEN SHUT THE ENGINES DOWN BEFORE EGRESSING THROUGH THE MAIN CABIN DOOR. PRIOR TO N911AE'S ARRIVAL, AIRPORT PERSONNEL HAD MANAGED TO PLOW THE FULL LENGTH OF THE RUNWAY BY ABOUT 130 FEET WIDE AFTER APPROXIMATELY AN INCH OF SNOW HAD ACCUMULATED ON TOP OF STANDING WATER. AN MU FRICTION TEST TAKEN 40 MINUTES AFTER THE ACCIDENT SHOWED AN OVERALL RATING OF 20.
