## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ WAS PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO'S WHEN, DURING THE SECOND LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN VEERING TO THE LEFT AND THE PILOT COULD NOT CORRECT TO THE RIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE SAW MUD, ICE, AND SOME FOD ON THE RUNWAY AND BELIEVES IT JAMMED THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR TIRE. A VISUAL INSPECTION OF BOTH THE MAIN LANDING GEAR SYSTEM AND NOSE STEERING COMPONENTS REVEALED NO EVIDENCE OF DEBRIS OR DAMAGE. A FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR SYSTEM, BRAKES, AND STEERING COMPONENTS REVEALED NO DISCREPANCIES. THE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE REPORT SHOWS THE RUNWAY TO BE FREE OF SNOW AND ICE WITH ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF MUD WHICH WAS DEPOSITED BY THE TOW VEHICLE DISPATCHED TO RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT. NO SKID MARKS OR OTHER EVIDENCE OF LOCKED WHEELS OR BRAKES WAS NOTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
