## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT'S ATTENTION WAS DISTRACTED BY SKYDIVERS AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED. THE PILOT WAS INFORMED ON DOWNWIND LEG OF SKYDIVING IN PROGRESS AT THE AIRPORT. THE CREW SPOTTED A SKYDIVER LESS THAN A MILE FROM THEIR AIRCRAFT AND SPOTTED ANOTHER PARACHUTE JUST BELOW THE OVERCAST AT APPROXIMATELY ELEVEN O'CLOCK AND ABOUT 3/4 MILE AS THEY TURNED ONTO FINAL APPROACH. THE CREW WAS INTENTLY SCANNING THE AIRSPACE AHEAD IN CASE A SKYDIVER CAME THROUGH THE OVERCAST INTO THEIR FLIGHT PATH. THE CREW STATED THAT THEY DID NOT SEE THE JUMP PLANE LAND AT THE AIRPORT, AND THAT THEY NEVER SAW IT IN FLIGHT. THE CREW STATED THAT THE FOREGOING INFORMATION INDICATED TO THEM THAT THE JUMP AIRCRAFT WAS PROBABLY OPERATING ON TOP OF THE OVERCAST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
