## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS LANDING WITH A DIRECT CROSSWIND AND LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. THE TIRE TRACKS SHOW THE PILOT LANDED ON THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR IN A "CRAB" TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE 400 TO 500 FEET PAST THE 1000 FOOT RUNWAY MARKER. THE TRACKS SHOW THE AIRCRAFT WAS STILL IN A CRAB WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN AND FINALLY THE LEFT MAIN TOUCHED DOWN. THE PILOT STATED HE HAD FULL RIGHT RUDDER, BUT THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT, DEPARTED THE RUNWAY INTO THE MUD. THERE WERE SEVERAL HOLES IN THE PRESSURE VESSEL AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE NOSE WHEEL ATTACHMENT AREA.
