## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ REPORTED TO THE KFPR TOWER THAT HE HAD A GEAR PROBLEM AND THAT THE NOSE GEAR LIGHT WAS NOT ILLUMINATING GREEN. HE HAD TRIED TO EXTEND THE GEAR 3 TIMES AND DECIDED TO ATTEMPT A MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION. UPON ACCOMPLISHING THIS, HE NOTICED THE GREEN NOSE LIGHT WAS STILL NOT ILLUMINATED AND ELECTED TO ATTEMPT A LANDING. UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A FULL STOP WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE. A MECHANIC FROM A NEARBY FBO WAS CALLED IN TO BRACE THE NOSE GEAR AND IT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY TOWED OFF THE RUNWAY AND OVER TO THE REPAIR FACILITIES WITHOUT FURTHER PROBLEMS. THERE WAS ONE PASSENGER ABOARD; NEITHER PERSON WAS INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
