## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON FEBRUARY 16, 2005, WHILE ON CLIMB OUT LEARJET, LR-45, N865CA, RECEIVED A L/H HYDRAULIC PUMP LOW LIGHT AT 5000 FT. MSL. CREW CONTINUED CLIMBING WHILE REFERRING TO THE CHECKLIST. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THEY RECEIVED A R/H HYDRAULIC PUMP LOW LIGHT, BOTH LIGHTS WERE ON CREW ALERTING SYSTEM (CAS) PANEL. AT THIS TIME CREW INITIATED RETURN BACK TO OMAHA AT AN ALTITUDE OF 15000 FT. MSL. MOMENTS LATER THEY RECEIVED A MAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE AMBER CAS MESSAGE AND HAD NO OUTPUT FROM EITHER ENGINE DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMPS AND ABOUT 300 PSI OF MAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. CREW EXECUTED A MANUAL LANDING GEAR EXTENSION WHILE DESCENDING TOWARD THE AIRPORT AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. AIRCRAFT WAS ABLE TO LAND WITHOUT INCIDENT AT EPPLEY AND WAS RETURNED TO A MAINTENANCE SHOP FOR INVESTIGATION OF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
