## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE LEFT ENGINES LOST POWER AND SHUT DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO MIE AND LANDED AT 1211 CENTRAL TIME WITHOUT INCIDENT. MUNCIE AVIATION COMPANY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE AND FOUND NO OIL SHOWING ON THE DIPSTICK. MAINTENANCE ALSO STATED THAT THE LEFT ENGINE OIL COOLER INLET LINE 'B' NUT MAY HAVE VIBRATED LOOSE. MAINTENANCE RETORQUED THE 'B' NUT. MAINTENANCE REMOVED THE OIL FILTER AND EXAMINED IT FOR CONTAMINATION AND FOUND METAL PARTICLES. MAINTENANCE INSTALLED A NEW OIL FILTER AND SERVICED THE ENGINE AND PERFORMED A GROUND RUN UP. THE ENGINE MAINTAINED OIL PRESSURE FOR THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF OPERATION AND THEN THE OIL PRESSURE STARTED TO DROP. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AND THE OIL FILTER WAS EXAMINED FOR CONTAMINATION AND METAL PARTICLES WERE FOUND. FURTHER INSPECTIONS WAITING OWNERS APPROVAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
