## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 3, 2005, A CESSNA 175, N7397M, DEPARTED FROM ST. MARIES, IDAHO. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON A FLIGHT TO SUPERIOR, MONTANA, WITH 1 PILOT AND 2 PASSENGERS ONBOARD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS EXPERIENCING ENGINE PROBLEMS WHEN THE PILOT DECIDED TO MAKE A FORCED LANDING INTO A FIELD. UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT HIT A FENCE POST, CAUSING SOME MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING STRUT AND THE RIGHT WING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP. ALL OF THE OCCUPANTS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT ANY INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
