## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER DROPPING OFF PASSENGERS AT THE AIR NET FBO, HE CONTACTED GROUND CONTROL AND WAS CLEARED TO TAXI TO C1 FOR AN INTERSECTION TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 28L. HE PROCEEDED TO TAXI WHILE SWITCHING RADIO FREQUENCIES. HE TURNED LEFT AT THE FIRST LEFT OUT OF THE RAMP PARKING AREA THINKING IT WAS THE TAXIWAY WHEN INSTEAD IT IS AN AIRPORT ACCESSORY ROAD. THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WINGTIP STRICK A FENCE, WHEN THE PILOT TRIED TO TURN AROUND THE RIGHT WINGTIP STRUCK THE FENCE. HE THEN SHUT DOWN AND RAMP PERSONNEL TOWED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE FBO RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
