## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON CLIMB-OUT FROM ELD, #1 PROPELLER RPM BEGAN TO DECREASE WITH NO PROP LEVER INPUT FROM CREW. CREW PLACED PROP TO FULL RPM POSITION AND RPM CONTINUED TO SLOWLY DECREASE. CREW TRIED TO MATCH RPM ON BOTH ENGINES BUT STOPPED DOING THAT WHEN #2 GOOD ENGINE WAS AT 1300 RPMS. THE TORQUE ON #1 ENGINE ROSE WHILE RPMS DROPPED. #1 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GREEN ARC/TOP OF YELLOW ARC. THE #1 PROP WENT TO 200 RPM OF ITS OWN ACCORD, SUBSEQUENTLY WINDMILLING WITHOUT ANY FORWARD POWER. THE CREW SUBSEQUENTLY SHUT #1 ENGINE DOWN IN FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
