## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 17, 2005, AT APPROXIMATELY 9:15 AM, N3593X, AN AEROSPATIALE AS350B2, OPERATED BY AIR METHODS, A 14 CFR 135 CERTIFICATE HOLDER, WAS CONDUCTING A 14 CFR 91 POSITIONING FLIGHT FROM COUNCIL BLUFFS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO THE HELIPAD LOCATED AT CREIGHTON HOSPITAL IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA. DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE PILOT NOTED AN ENGINE CHIP LIGHT ANNUNCIATION. THE PILOT NOTIFIED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A FIELD AT THE INTERSECTION OF 9TH AND MAIN STREET IN COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND THE PILOT REPORTED NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
