## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 17, 2005, AT APPROXIMATELY 7:00 PM, N934DJ, AN AMATEUR-BUILT VANS RV-4 AIRCRAFT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING ON A DIRT ROAD, ONE MILE EAST OF BEAVER CROSSING, NEBRASKA. THE PILOT DEPARTED A PRIVATE STRIP NEAR CROUCH, IDAHO ON A 14 CFR 91 FLIGHT WITH THE DESTINATION OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS. DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE PILOT NOTICED A LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND THE PILOT REPORTED NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
