## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DURING TAKE-OFF FROM A DIRT STRIP. HE SAID THAT THE AIRCRAFT HAD A FULL LOAD OF PRODUCT FOR AERIAL APPLICATION AND THAT THERE WAS A LIGHT CROSSWIND. AFTER THE GEAR COLLAPSED, HE LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH THAT RUNS ALONG THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DIRT STRIP. THE AIRCRAFT WENT NOSE-DOWN INTO THE DITCH, DAMAGING THE PROPELLER AND ENGINE. OTHER THAN THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR, THE AIRFRAME ONLY SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
