## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS LANDING AT NEW ORLEANS LAKEFRONT AIRPORT (NEW) RUNWAY 18L, GEAR SWITCH DOWN, TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 200 FT FROM NUMBERS. LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AIRCRAFT SKIDDED ON FIBERGLASS BELLY (TWO FINS RUNNING FORE AND AFT SUPPORTED PLANE), CAME TO A STOP 400 FT FROM TOUCHDOWN POINT ON CENTERLINE. FIBERGLASS SCRAPINGS FROM FINS ON BELLY APPARENT ON RUNWAY, AS WELL AS PROP STRIKE SOON AFTER TOUCHDOWN. PILOT REPORTED THAT AFTER STOP, ALL GEAR WAS OUT OF FUSELAGE BUT WRAPPED UNDER, WITH PLANE RESTING ON BELLY. WINGS AND FLAPS DID NOT TOUCH PER VISUAL INSPECTION. PLANE WAS RAISED BY LEVY BOARD BLADDERS, GEAR LOCKED DOWN, AND TOWED TO PARKING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
