## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ WAS PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOES AT JEFFERSON COUNTY AIRPORT ON RUNWAY 29L. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN AND ADDING POWER TO INITIATE THE TAKEOFF THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT (HE INDICATED THAT THERE WAS A LIGHT CROSSWIND), THE PROP STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT. THE PILOT ABORTED HIS TAKE OFF AND RAN OFF THE RUNWAY. A MECHANIC INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT. THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS TO THE WOODEN PROP AND A SMALL NICK ON THE ENGINE NACELLE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
