## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON FINAL APPROACH TO CAREFREE AIRPORT THE PILOT REPORTED A LOSS OF POWER. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET SHORT STRIKING TREES AND A BLOCK FENCE IN A CHURCH PARKING LOT COMING TO REST 200 FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ADMITTED HE NEVER TRIED TO GO TO FULL THROTTLE WHEN HE DETERMINED HE WAS TOO LOW IN HIS APPROACH BUT STATED HE DID NOT GET THE RESPONSE WHEN HE APPLIED PARTIAL THROTTLE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOADED WITH APPROXIMATELY 1000 LB. OF WEIGHT AND THE PILOT INDICATED HE WAS NOT NORMALLY LOADED WITH THAT WEIGHT WHEN OPERATING THE CE T210. A POST ACCIDENT ENGINE RUN WAS CONDUCTED AT THE STORAGE YARD, THE ENGINE APPEARED TO OPERATE NORMALLY THROUGH AN ABBREVIATED GROUND RUN. THE ENGINE WAS SENT TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR ADDITIONAL INSPECTION.
