(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS ON TAXIWAY AFTER LANDING WHEN NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. NO INJURY TO PILOT/PASSENGER. THE NOSE GEAR DRAG LINK ASSY FAILED AT THE ATTACH POINT. THE DRAG LINK APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL. THE BELLY AREA, DIRECTLY BEHIND THE NOSE GEAR WELL SHOWS EVIDENCE OF A PREVIOUS REPAIR TO THE SKIN. PTRS AND AIRCRAFT RECORDS DO NOT SHOW ANY PRIOR ACCIDENTS OR INCIDENTS. AIRCRAFT DAMAGE LIMITED TO NOSE SKIN, FORWARD OF GEAR DOOR, NOSE GEAR DOORS, AND PROP/ENGINE DAMAGE DUE TO PROP STRIKES AFTER COLLAPSE OF NOSE GEAR. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
