## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOTS FROM IBC AIRWAYS WERE CONDUCTING INSTRUMENT PROFICIENCY CHECKRIDE IN N811BC AT DADE COLLIER AIRPORT (TNT). WHILE TAXIING AFTER LANDING, PILOTS OBSERVED DEER CROSSING. ONE DEER HIT NOSE GEAR AND WENT INTO LEFT PROPELLER. ALL FOUR BLADES WERE DESTROYED. ONE PROP BLADE WAS IMBEDDED IN AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE JUST AFT OF ENTRANCE DOOR WHICH CAUSED PILOTS TO EXIT THROUGH AN OVER WING EXIT WITHOUT INJURY. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA05LA084](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA05LA084), Mar 30, 2005: Swearingen SA227-AC (N811BC), Miami, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: "THIS CASE WAS MODIFIED MAY 30, 2006." The airplane's inadvertent impact with one of several deer that had entered the airport property and crossed the runway during the landing rollout.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
